As Radar Technician, you will specialize in the maintenance and repair of the ship's radar systems. You'll service navigation radars, weather radars, radar displays, and associated equipment. You'll also perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, calibrate radar systems, and ensure compliance with maritime regulations. You'll work closely with the bridge team to maintain reliable radar operations essential for safe navigation and collision avoidance.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field. Certification in marine radar systems or equivalent. Minimum 3+ years of experience with radar equipment maintenance. In-depth knowledge of marine radar technology and principles. Experience with radar calibration and performance testing. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Understanding of maritime regulations regarding radar equipment. STCW certification and basic safety training. Knowledge of X-band and S-band radar systems and their applications.
