Electronics
As Power Electronics Specialist, you will maintain and troubleshoot electronic power systems throughout the ship. You'll service uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), variable frequency drives (VFDs), power converters, and electronic control circuits. You'll also perform preventive maintenance, analyze power quality, implement energy efficiency measures, and ensure reliable operation of critical power electronics. You'll work closely with the engineering department to maintain stable power for all ship systems and equipment.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field. Certification in power systems or marine electrical equipment. Minimum 3+ years of experience with industrial power electronics. Knowledge of UPS systems, VFDs, and power conversion equipment. Experience with power quality analysis and energy efficiency. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Understanding of electrical safety and regulatory requirements. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Experience with marine power systems preferred.
